We are fuelling progress
In 2008, Petredec took its first steps ashore, acquiring Chevron’s LPG marketing business in Reunion Island – a move which would set the agenda for further acquisitions and investments into LPG marketing and distribution businesses in South East Asia, the Indian Ocean, and Africa.
“In 2023 we will pass the milestone of 1.5m mts of LPG delivered into South Africa since we started deliveries in 2008”
Giles Fearn, CEO – Petredec Group
Focused on the future
In addition, Petredec has focused on the development of LPG infrastructure with a series of import terminals in operation, and under construction, around the Indian Ocean. The first of these was commissioned in Mauritius in 2014, followed by the Richards Bay terminal in 2020 (launched in South Africa with our partner Bidvest Tank Terminals). In 2023, Petredec will commence operations at its largest terminal build to date, the 34,000mts import facility in Krishnapatnam, India with further developments underway in other key emerging markets.
Delivering cleaner energy to those that need it
Petredec is 100% committed to developing onshore supply to markets dependent upon imports for their energy needs. Whilst our expanding network of LPG terminals act as critical gateways to markets, it is our investments in inland supply infrastructure and logistics which truly unlock access to cleaner energy for those that need it.
In Southern Africa, we delivered enough LPG in 2022 to fill over:
